Love Life, Love To Travel

I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list

About Me

I’m just a normal person who, like so many people, loves travelling. I’m not one of these ‘vagabond’ types who tells you how you can live a life on the road or how to give up everything and travel forever more. I thought I could do the ‘live on the road’ thing but after a six month trip to Asia I missed my family and friends so much I knew I could never do it full time so instead I have adapted my life to allow me to go away more while still living in the UK giving me to have the best of both worlds.

Ever since I was young I have always been an avid holiday journal keeper, documenting where we went and what we did on each day, what we ate, how much it cost. It’s never really meant much until I started doing longer more involved trips, my friends know I do this and would keep asking if I could send my diary entries for certain places as they were heading there and wanted to know all the tips. I loved being able to help people have a better trip thanks to my experiences and so decided to start logging my entries somewhere everyone can benefit from them.

I have always been interested in travel, with both parents having come from a travel background I followed suit and ended up getting a Degree in Travel Management. I worked for years for various travel companies in different roles and got to travel a bit but it was never enough. I knew that to travel the way I wanted I would have to take control so I did.

I have stayed in places on all ends of the spectrum, from hostels to home stays and hotels right up to high end luxury resorts.

My approach to travelling has changed greatly since having my two children, I enjoy showing them new places and watching their faces as they experience new things. I will discuss these changes more in a post at somepoint. I tend to over analyse things which means I can advise on things with an indepth review helping people have the best experience of places possible.

These are accounts of my adventures and experiences, enjoy and I hope you find it useful. I love hearing feedback or helping so if you have any questions or would just like to get in touch then please feel free to do so.

As well as travel I will also include some posts about 'life' hopefully some things of interest.

There are some affiliate links on my site to various things, they are all set up by me personally and are things I think would be genuinely helpful, by using these links it doesn't cost you any extra but it helps me to keep this site going.

Many thanks for visiting and here’s to many more happy travels
